the writer in question...

Allie Gesdorf is a third-year Writing, Rhetoric, and Discourse undergrad at DePaul University, with a double minor in Data Science and Psychological Research Methods. Ever since she was a child, Allie consistently sought to find ways to blend her two deepest adorations of authorship and technology, whether it was through the 10+ digital collaborative writing campaigns she hosted throughout high school or maintaining digital content for her high school's Psychology Club, of which she was president.
During her time at DePaul, Allie fostered these passions into applications of research and technical writing, the latter of which she intends to pursue as a career upon completion of a master's degree in Data Privacy and Cybersecurity Law. This passion was realized through her work as a Data Support Specialist at Epiq Global, where she works to translate jargon-heavy memorandums to victims of data breaches.
Allie received the 2023 Nicole Lorraine Chapman Memorial Scholarship (an award celebrating her achievements in the interdisciplinary arts), was an AP Capstone Award recipient (a mark of exemplary performance in nonfiction argumentative and research writing), and serves as a member of the 2028 Honors cohort at DePaul University and the WRD Student Committee.
When she isn't writing her next piece, she's trying new restaurants with family, scrapbooking, or booting up a tabletop RPG campaign to play with friends.
